About Us

Our Story

PAHAL was founded in 1996 by Professor Lakhbir Singh along with a group of like-minded individuals with a shared vision of social development through holistic personality development.

The organization emerged from a simple yet powerful realisation: sustainable social change requires individuals who are healthy, educated, environmentally conscious and effective communicators. Modern society often promotes individualism and consumerism, while community participation and volunteerism continue to decline. PAHAL was established to address this gap by encouraging active citizenship and social responsibility.

Over the years, PAHAL has evolved into one of Punjab’s leading voluntary organizations, working across health, education, environment and communication while engaging thousands of volunteers and beneficiaries.

Our Mission

To bring a perceptible change in society by providing opportunities for individuals to engage creatively and constructively in social development while serving humanity through voluntary action.

Our Vision

To create a socially responsible, healthy, educated and environmentally conscious society through holistic human development.

Philosophy of PAHAL

PAHAL believes that the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent upon the welfare of society.

Our philosophy rests on four interconnected pillars:

1

Health

2

Education

3

Environment

4

Communication

Without a healthy body and mind, education cannot flourish. Without education, environmental responsibility cannot be nurtured. Without these foundations, meaningful communication and social participation become difficult.

An individual with good health, values, knowledge, environmental awareness and communication skills contributes positively to society and nation-building.
